GoAubie - by David Gantt, Austin, TX

Hello, and thank you for visiting me at GoAubie. My name is David Gantt and I live in Austin, TX.

I am a PADI MSDT scuba instructor and specialize in teaching underwater photography. I also do topside photography as well. I am a member of the Texas Photographic Society and the Austin Shutterbug photography club. Besides field experience, I routinely participate in workshops, and professional classes. I mainly focus on sports and underwater shoots, but have begun to do specialized work in portrait, and event shooting.

In scuba, I teach openwater, advanced openwater, rescue, divemaster students along with the following specialities - peak performance buoyance, Project Aware, boat, drift, multi-level, enriched air (nitrox), night, deep, and digital underwater photography.

GoAubie is more than a photography site. It's my internet presence and serves as a portal for my business, blog, and a way to sell my photographic work. I selected GoAubie as a way to honor Auburn University and it’s mascot tiger, Aubie. On game-day, and many other events throughout the year, he is creating fun and memories for the Auburn faithful. He is routinely recognized as one of the nation’s best and most recognizable mascots. It is his spirit that I hope to capture in my photography – the ability to transcend a moment, and to create a living memory for a lifetime. And to honor Aubie and the university he represents, I donate all of my photography profits generated from this site to the Auburn University general scholarship fund.
